announced for September (no date has been set). It was clarified that
the working board meets monthly, while general meetings are held 4
times per year (Sept, Dec, March and May). Brochures and business cards
mood pencils and lollipops were distributed to all.

Vincent gave a live demonstration of the website, www.kpcac.org,
the process of registration for participation in the forums and an
overview of the site features. Volunteer forms are on the website
with committee descriptions and discussion forums.
PNA Survey Results:
Jim Clark presented a power point summary of the 6th grade data
from the recent PNA Survey. Risk and protective factors were explained,
with emphasis that this initial report is the first of several steps
in the overall data analysis and interpretation. Additional meetings
will be planned with the school district, community groups and public
forums as the picture unfolds and the community profile is developed.
Handouts of the slides were distributed for review. Numerous questions
and comments were shared.
Strengthening Families Presentation- Dr. Matt Dammeyer:
Dr. Dammeyer summarized the evidence-based 14 week family support
program that is currently being offered to 10 local families. Informational
brochures were distributed. This program will conclude in two weeks,
with plans for additional programs to be offered later in the year,
based on funding. A two–day training program is scheduled for
June 22-23 and is open to all interested parties. Attendance is limited,
registration is free, contact Marilynn Jackson for information and
to register.
What’s Next:
It was announced that six students from local high schools are being

continues on membership recruitment and youth development. There
will be a youth fair in the fall, during the time of school registration.

*The Board will meet through the summer and meetings are
